CAP JULUCA HONOURS JULUCA JUBILEE CLUB MEMBERS AS PART OF ITS 23rd ANNIVERSARY ACTIVITIES |

As part of its 23rd Anniversary celebrations, Cap Juluca paid special tribute to 69 of its longest-serving employees. These Julucans who became members of the Juluca Jubilee Club after 20 years of service were recognised for their loyalty and dedication to the resort.

The Juluca Jubilee Club members were toasted by General Manager, Gary Thulander, and Director of Human Resources, Phyllis Fleming Banks, and spent the afternoon reminiscing and sharing stories about the early years at the award-winning resort. Landscaper, Albert Connor received a special salute as the longest-serving Julucan with 24 years of service. Albert was part of the original team hired in 1987 prior to the opening of the villas in 1988. Also part of that original group and still in active service are Wilson Fleming (Water Sports Supervisor), Gwendolyn Griffith (Sous Chef), Wayne Romney (Restaurant Supervisor), Uton Rogers (Assistant Purchasing Manager) and Rhona Richardson (Housekeeping Supervisor).

Mr. Thulander praised the Julucans for their hard work in laying the foundation of the now world class resort. “As we launch our 24th year of operations, it is with great pride that we pause to salute all 69 of you who have been here for more than two decades,” Mr. Thulander said.

Cap Juluca, which opened the doors of its first villas in January of 1988, has been consistently named among the Caribbean and the World’s best resorts. The 69 members of the Juluca Jubilee Club account for about 17% of the Juluca work force.
