Mrs. Boasman-Hodge is the first named Chef Concierge in the English-speaking Caribbean under that organisation to have received the award.
The presentation was made by CuisinArt’s General Manager, Stephane Zaharia, who congratulated her for her hard work and thereby winning the award.
The criteria for acquiring membership include possessing a strong knowledge base suited to the affluent traveller, and the articulation of such information to the discerning guest. The process involves completion of interviews, recommendations from other Les Clefs d-Or Concierges world-wide and a rigorous written examination.
The purpose of the Les Clefs d’Or (Union international des Concierges d’Hotels), is to foster the professional development of concierges in the hotel industry by promoting tourism and the highest standards of service for hotel guests. The organisation is known through its motto: “In Service through Friendship.” Its creed includes mentoring individuals entering the concierge profession, and promoting and improving the technical skills of the profession.
The reviews received from guests over the years are a testament to Ena’s dedication and commitment to excellence in serving her guests.
A statement from the hotel said the Concierge Department was considered the nerve centre of the resort. It continued: “Ena’s creative and innovative styles of exceeding her guests’ expectations have positioned her as a Concierge extraordinaire. She acquaints herself with all the guests and calls them by name without a thought. She is definitely a high-end achiever, and her aim has always been to be ahead of the pack. She is a definite standout.
"The Management and Staff and other well-wishers applaud Mrs. Ena Boasman-Hodge, Chef Concierge, for this outstanding achievement.”
