Jan 9 2011 Skat or 9906 Road Bay Anguilla 233' The Skat is a luxury yacht built by Lürssen of Bremen, Germany as project 9906, a number prominently displayed on the hull in a font matching that of military vessels. The project started in November 1999 and the yacht launched in 2001. The owner is Charles Simonyi, a former Software Engineer from Microsoft and the fifth space tourist. The yacht is the 64th-largest in the world with a length of 71 meters (233 feet). Simonyi once had a Danish girlfriend who called him "skat", literally "treasure" (or "tax"), but a common term of endearment similar to "honey" in English

"A" January 14 2011, Meads Bay, Anguilla 394' With its radical shape—more sleek submarine than boxy pleasure boat—and reams of custom parts and finishes (including bath knobs costing $40,000 apiece), "A" is a conspicuous marker of an ocean-going plutocracy that's largely been untouched by the recession. The boat, designed by Philippe Starck and completed in mid-2008 for more than $300 million, has spawned a flotilla of copycats emulating its low-slung hull and design scheme. Numerous companies involved in its construction went bankrupt, done in by the novelty of the project and the level of customization required. Photogaph by Gabi Gumbs.

Luna Jan 17 2011 Meads Bay, poor sister to Eclipe and also owned by Roman Abramovich, Imagine being on board the world's largest expedition yacht. Well, at least Roman Abramovich doesn't have to imagine something like that. He reportedly picked up the motor yacht Luna which is 115m long and the best of it genre in the world. Designed by Newcruise Design, the superyacht features two helicopter pads and a huge communications tower close to its tail end. The open aft deck comprises of a closed swimming pool and sunbathing areas, similar to the 82m Alfa Nero. In short you can bask in the lap of luxury even in the most perilous conditions. 377'

The 'Maritime School of the West Indies' has received an invitation from Tall Ship the “EENDRACHT” to bring three student / trainees on board to sail on a one week cruise in the Leeward Islands starting January 20 until January 27. The school has sponsored and placed many youngsters in the past on Tall Ships, Yachts and other vessels to experience sailing while studying in the marine sector. The foundation 'Het Zeilend Zeeschip' ('The Sailing Sea ship') which is based in Rotterdam, Holland, exploits the Eendracht. m/y chanticleer Feb 22 2011 108' Originally built for Ogden Phipps - one of the dominant figures in thoroughbred racing in the 20th century, CHANTICLEER claimed its place in history after it was purchased by Frances Langford. Her trademark song, "I'm in the Mood for Love" and her many USO tours with Bob Hope endeared her to many fans. In 2008, CHANTICLEER was acquired by her present owners, Marty and Lisa Sutter, who have continued to renovate the boat extensively. Although those who remember CHANTICLEER best from her years owned by Langford would be hard pressed to recognize the same vessel today, the Sutters have paid appropriate tribute to her ownership of the vessel by designating the VIP stateroom as the "Frances Langford Stateroom", where posters of her movies, photographs and other memorabilia are prominently displayed.
