The event, at the Police Training Room, was hosted by the Anguilla Statistics Department and gave participants an opportunity to receive useful information on the value of data and its presentation.
Chief Statistician, Lori Rae Alleyne-Franklin, said the workshop marked Caribbean Statistics Day. It was also part of a week of activities which culminated with the observance of World Statistics Day on Wednesday, October 20, on the grounds of the Post Office.

“What we are trying to do is to have a number of activities to draw awareness to the production of statistics and how it should be managed,” Mrs. Rae-Franklin said.
“The workshop is targeted for Government Departments, and we hope to get across to the participants the importance of mainly administrative data. We hope that at the end of the short workshop persons would get a better awareness of the data that is housed within the departments and the need to put it together to make decisions.”
