Letters To The Editor - AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE IN ANGUILLA

The Editor,
The Anguillian

Dear Mr. Editor:

AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE IN ANGUILLA

When we decided to come home to Anguilla for a family reunion, we were not fully aware how we would fit our schedule of private activities in the various corresponding national events of the Summer Festival.
It was however a delightful experience to find that we were able to stick to many of our activities and still spend some quality time at the carnival and boat-racing events.

The Parade of Troupes with all its pomp, circumstance and colour, and the sea of people at Sandy Ground on August Monday are indelibly imprinted on my mind. I think that we, who came from various parts of the world, to join our family in Anguilla for the reunion, truly enjoyed ourselves.

It was certainly refreshing to be home and see that our people, despite the obvious financial and economic difficulties, can put our problems aside, as well as the politics, and join in merry-making.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to our stay in Anguilla (as well as in St. Maarten) and the enjoyable experience we all had.

Josette M. Richardson-Keller
