A Week Of Revelry In Anguilla


Despite the financial and economic challenges facing the island, thousands of Anguillians and visitors will rub shoulder to shoulder in gay abandonment during the one-week Summer Festival activities, commencing this Friday, July 30.

Minister of Social Development, the Hon. Edison Baird, will deliver an address and declare the festival open. Other speakers will be Chairman of the Summer Festival, Vanier Harrigan, and Commissioner of Police, Rudolph Proctor.

The opening events will include appearances by the Talented Teen and the Miss Anguilla Queen contestants, the M/C PP show, and the Prince and Princess show followed by spectacular fireworks. Other events will be an appearance by Frederick Morton, President of Tempo, the FWD dancers and the Junior Calypso show.

The Anguillian joins in wishing everyone an enjoyable and safe Summer Festival.
