Anguilla Bodybuilders Compete In St. Martin |

On Saturday 26th June 2010 at 8:00 pm, athletes from the Anguilla Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ABFF) took part in the first J.C'S GYM and Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Saint-Martin Bodybuilding and Fitness competition 2010 which was held at the Omni Sport Complex in Galisbay, St. Martin. The competition was attended by both male and female athletes from Anguilla, Dutch St. Maarten, French St. Martin and St. Kitts and Nevis.

The team from Anguilla comprised both senior athletes and novices (junior athletes who were competing for the first time): Verdine Connor, Desmond Paul, Duquaine Brooks, Alphransene Williams, Roxann Pinnock, Janique Payne and Diedra Bell as athletes, and Severine Joseph Pradel, (ABFF President) and Matthew Browne, (athletes representatives). There were four categories in which the competitors competed: Female Fitness and Figure, Male Novice, Male Lightweight and Male Middleweight.
The results were as follows:
Female Fitness Figure:
1st place: Alphransene Williams from Anguilla
2nd place: Roxann Pinonck from Anguilla
3rd place: Alicia Reid from St. Maarten
4th place: Deidra Bell of Anguilla
5th place: Janique Payne of Anguilla
Male Novice (beginners)
1st place: Jaslyn Myers from St. Kitts and Nevis
2nd place: Esdias Concoult from St. Maarten
3rd place: Jermin Brown from St. Maarten
4th place: Duquaine Brooks of Anguilla
Male Lightweight:
1st place: Lucien ''siliky'' Gamiette from Saint-Martin
2nd place: Jaslyn Myers from St. Kitts and Nevis
3rd lace: Andrew Blackstock from St. Maarten
Male Middleweight:
1st place: Vernon Connor from Anguilla
2nd place: Leon Bussue from St. Maarten
3rd place: Desmond Paul from Anguilla

The event was coordinated by Christine Hyacinthe Williams, Executive Assistant of the International Federation of Bodybuilders of the United States of America. The head judge was Errol Williams of Antigua while the other judges comprised Sylvia Francis of St. Kitts and Nevis with four local judges from Dutch St. Maarten.
The Anguilla Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation would like to congratulate all of its athletes, especially for the novices, for their performance at the competition. They competed at the highest level in the name of Anguilla and have also shown that the future is bright for the sport of bodybuilding and fitness in Anguilla.
The Anguilla Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation expects great things as the season progresses, especially with the upcoming Annual Anguilla Bodybuilding and Fitness Federations Competition which will be held on Saturday 3rd July 2010 at the Rodney Rey Auditorium, Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School Campus B at 8:00 pm.
