Dear Prime Minister,

On behalf of the government and people of Anguilla, I wish to convey heartiest congratulations to you and your Conservative Party as well as your coalition partners, the Liberal Democrats, for the resounding victory in general elections held in early May.

Your assumption to office at this time is especially significant as it is the first coalition government in the United Kingdom since the Second World War.

Your strong leadership and cooperation and support of your coalition partners will be key in the months and years ahead as your new administration grapples with the economic, social and other issues affecting the United Kingdom.

The Government of Anguilla reiterates its commitment to working closely with your new administration as well in the furtherance of the goals and aspirations of the Anguillian people, and in this regard look forward to continuing the partnership based on mutual respect and collaboration.

Again, very best wishes to you and your new administration.

Regards
…………………………………….

Walcott A. Richardson,
Chief Minister (Ag)
Minister of Home Affairs
