Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
Office of the Prime Minister
Whitehall, Maraval Road,
Port of Spain

Dear Hon. Prime Minister,

On behalf of the government and people of Anguilla, I wish to convey heartiest congratulations and commendation to you, Madam Prime Minister, for achieving the enviable but richly deserving feat of being your country's first ever female head of government.

Your astute leadership of the United Force of Change (People's Partnership) party was translated into overwhelming success at the polls during the May 24th general elections in the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

I join with the women of Anguilla, and indeed with women in the region and around the world, in saluting you on your attainment of such high political office in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Government of Anguilla offers its support to work closely with you and your administration as we all strive to improve the socio-economic conditions in our region.

Again, please accept our congratulations on your government's election to office.

Regards

…………………………………….

Walcott A. Richardson,
Chief Minister (Ag)
Minister of Home Affairs
