2009 marks the third year that National Bank has partnered with the Anguilla Football Association to ensure the successful execution of this tournament. In her remarks, Mrs. Smith noted that “the development of sports in the Anguilla community has taken some of the Island’s best athletes to places they could only dream possible.” She further addressed the students playing in the tournament by requesting on the Bank’s behalf to; “Be positive: in every game you play, there is nothing more important than having that “can do” attitude. Set good examples: represent your team, if you act like leaders, you will be nothing but leaders”, and finally, she reminded the players that football is a team sport, she continued, “it evokes great passion and plays an important role in the life of everyone, you the players, the supporters and the community as a whole.”
