It was with much pleasure that I read in your newspaper about the great success of the Anguillian Chefs at the recently-held Taste of the Caribbean Culinary Competition in Puerto Rico.

They have done Anguilla proud and I recall, with much delight and appreciation, the finger-licking cuisine my family and I have enjoyed during our visits to the island and dined at the lovely restaurants and hotels. We were short-changed this year as a result of the recession and the consequent difficulty to take a vacation in your part of the world.

We were also pleased to have read of Anguilla’s awards at the recent tourism event in New York. You really have a very special island and people whom we salute and extend our very best wishes to.
