It is with great Pride and much joy that I stand here today, not only as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2009, but as a proud student of the best school, The Valley Primary School.

I want to give God thanks for being with me and I know He will continue to do so as I elevate to a higher education level, always keeping Him by my side.
This evening as we celebrate another milestone in our lives, and say good bye to our highly esteemed School, I would like to use this opportunity to reflect on time spent here, and to give thanks to all who have helped us as we set out on a move to another chapter in our lives.
For most of us, our days at Valley Primary School did not start in Grades 5 or 6, although most of the memories that I would forever cherish started from grades 4 to 6. As a class, while we would like to put on record our heartfelt thanks to all teachers past and present who have taught at the Valley Primary School, there are some teachers and persons who have stood out in our memories.
Kindergarten….Tr. Daphne Niles (Thank You!)
Grade 2….Tr. Sherlita Edwards (Thank you!)
Grade 5….Teacher Janet Lake (Thank You!)
Teacher Veda and Teacher Allison ….. (A big thank You!)
And, who can forget Mrs. Broodie who always looks out for us (Thank You!)
Our netball, football, volleyball, cricket and athletics coaches and assistants… (A big Thank You!”)
Saving the best for last….our dear beloved, pillow of strength…this person taught us in grades 4 and 6…someone we truly love and would surely miss…Teacher Lorelle Richardson…The Class of 2009...We Love You!
Not to call any names of the persons who have given us the following quotes over the years, I would like to share some with you…Class of 2009 you could remember teachers telling us these things, especially when we were behaving bad, mostly my class.
“I am going to miss all of you.”
“Been there, done that! “
“It’s not the right thing to do!”
“Come on, use your time wisely and read a book.”
“Stop Chatting!”
“Do you all have to be always disturbing the school?”
To the class of 2009, yes we can! We did it! We’re on our way to a brighter future, and as we move to another school some of us may end up in different classes but as our school motto says…Aim for Excellence.
Remember our task is not complete until we have reached our desired goals in life…to you the class of 2009, my fellow classmates…I enjoyed my time with you…Thank You for being my friends.
To a very special person in my life from Pre-School days till now, Tr. Keturah Richardson, I love you very much!
To our parents, without you the reality of being here today would not have been possible. Finally, to all the persons who have come out here tonight to lend support and the many persons who may have been left out, unintentionally…thank you as we leave you with this reminder.
Did you ever know that you’re our hero?
And every thing we’d like to be.
We can fly higher than an eagle,
Because, you are the wind beneath our wings.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
