According to Inspector Emris Rogers of the Criminal Investigation Department, on Saturday June 20 during a function at the Landsome Bowl Carnival Village, it was reported that a fight broke out between persons from Blowing Point and the Valley. He divulged that shortly after the fight gunshots were heard.

Inspector Rogers reported that in the early morning hours of Sunday June 21 two young men turned up at the Princess Alexandra Hospital with “several stab wounds, one from the Valley and the other from Blowing Point. He said the man from the Valley was admitted with a puncture wound to his lower back” and the other “was treated for multiple stab wounds and discharged.

Rogers pointed out that both men claimed to have sustained their injuries while at the carnival village but did not know who injured them. He said no arrests had been made yet.

A disturbing development has resulted from the recent death by electrocution of the Late Clinton Bryan, which has prompted Commissioner of the Royal Anguilla Police Force Mr. Keithly Benjamin to offer stern warnings.

Following the accident where Mr. Bryan died after the boom of his truck struck 14,000-volt wires while he was offloading, a number of photographs have been circulating on the internet showing Bryan’s lifeless and exposed body.

Mr. Benjamin wrote, “It has come to the attention of the Royal Anguilla Police Force that photographs of the body of the late Clinton Bryan of the Farrington who died on Wednesday 17th June 2009 are posted on the internet.” Benjamin described the pictures as gruesome and “very insensitive,” stating that they may be offensive to his (Bryan’s) family and friends who were morning his loss.

The Commissioner made an appeal to all persons who were posting, forwarding or otherwise publishing the photos to discontinue “such insensitivity and disrespect for his love ones.”

Benjamin commented that he believed the perpetrators would be offended had it been their relative. He said that was sufficient reason to discontinue.
According to Benjamin, some of the photographs could be construed as an obscene publication under the Criminal Code and failure to adhere to his appeal, where there is evidence, could result in police action. He said, “Consideration will be given to prosecuting those persons who continue to publish them.”
The Top Cop anticipated full cooperation and encouraged respect for the feelings of Mr. Bryan’s family and friends.
Recently pictures of a graphic and revealing nature were discovered on the internet of the Late Clinton Bryan, as his body lay lifeless close to the truck he was operating shortly after his accident.
