The Basket Ball Court at the eastern section of Coronation Park is nightly attraction for large numbers of spectators finding much pleasure in the Second Annual Basket Ball Summer Leaque in which they are ten competing teams representing different businesses in Anguilla.

The teams comprise CCB Shottaz, NBA Ballaz, DLG, Fire Department, All Stars, Sunset Homes, Gumbs’ Delivery, Old Skool. Cap Juluca, the Police and Border Patrol.
The Basket Ball League, which was officially opened on Friday night, May 15, is continuing for two months and the official sponsor is Digicel.
On the opening night, the invocation was by Pastor Cecile Richardson followed by welcome remarks by Fabrice Stevens, Chairman and Stephanie Brooks, Digicel Country Manager.
There were two three point shoot out competitions (primary and senior) and slam dunk competition. David Morta of the Valley Primary School Won the primary division of th three point shoot out competition and Joe Bastis of Gumb's Delivery won the senior division.

Javille Brooks of NBA Ballaz won the slam dunk competition. The night concluded with a ball-a-rama which saw the team 'Border Protection' emerge victorious.
The week end scores were as follows: May 16, NBA Ballaz (44) vs. CCB Shottaz (42), Cap Juluca (46) vs. Fire Dept. (35).
May 17, Old Skool (50) vs. Sunset Homes (34), and DLG (69) vs. Border Protection (56).
There are matches from Thursday to Sunday each week. There is one game on Thursday, two games on Fridays and two each on Saturdays and Sundays.

President of the Anguilla Amateur Basket Ball Association, Fabrice Stevens, said that last year’s champion was the NBA Ballaz. The Vice President is Corrin Fleming.
