A gift of books on Black History Heroes and Heroines was presented to the Education Department by Bonita Klemm, a retired teacher from the United States. Bonita is presently one of a team of facilitators engaged in the training of the island’s Early Childhood teachers.

The books were donated by Mrs. Veda Ray and her friends from Mineral Springs United Methodist Church in Cobleskill, New York, and were accepted by Ms. Veda Harrigan, Education Officer, Primary, Pre-Primary.

The Education Department expresses sincere thanks to Bonita Klemm and Veda Ray and friends for this kind gesture. The books are an added valuable resource for the children of Anguilla.
