An Exciting Day Of Cycling For ACER |
| Publishing date: 08.05.2009 11:06 |
In another setting, ACER would be a brand name for computer and printing equipment, but in this case, the acronym stands for Anguilla Cycling Empowerment Ring. It is a new, but seemingly amalgamated group, which, on Sunday, May 3, represented members from several clubs with members of varying ages, in what was an exciting series of races.

“We are a growing team of passionate individuals committed to taking cycling to an unbelievable level, all for the betterment and future development of the cyclists and the sport,” they said. “We would like to highlight that, as per our motto, we are committed to the empowerment of our youth, especially in cycling and athletics. We are proud to come into the picture at a time when the Anguilla population is fully motivated and experiencing high self-esteem which have driven many of our young and old to join the novice and professional cyclists on the island.”
The committee members offered their thanks and appreciation to their valued sponsors, the cyclists, all other road users for their cooperation, the Anguilla Amateur Cycling Association for its support and for working diligently to ensure a smooth and seamless race, and the Royal Anguilla Police Force for its assistance in the area of safety.
