On Saturday evening, 4th April, Anguilla made light work of Team Montserrat as they were defeated in three sets. Sherwin “Skywalker” Richardson, nursing an injury, played a limited role but reminded the team of his hitting prowess.

Captain Ian Connor led by example as he led the scoring. He was ably assisted by Perry Richardson and Kevin Gumbs. The game culminated in a three set to zero win for Anguilla with a score line of: 25,11;25,13;25,11.

On Sunday, 5th April, St. Martin felt the wrath of a rested Sherwin “Skywalker” Richardson as he punished them with stinging hitting and intimidating blocks. St. Martin seemed defeated by the very first set and that mentality lasted them for the entire games. Anguilla’s play finally seemed to coagulate as bumps and hitting seemed to flow flawlessly. However, like clockwork, Anguilla experienced a mental glitch as they began committing errors which cost them a set. Cognizant of what was occurring, the players rallied together to end the game. The match ended in favour of Anguilla with a score line of: 25,14; 25,21; 22,25; 25,21.
