Ashes On Road Bay Waters

Dear Mr. Editor:

ASHES ON ROAD BAY WATERS

I do not mean to offend anyone, but I am just writing with reference to an obituary I saw in last week’s edition of The Anguillian which stated that a Canadian’s ashes would be scattered over Road Bay, “one of the prettiest harbours in the world.”

I was wondering if this could be done so easily or whether a request was made to have this done notwithstanding the love the deceased was said to have had for Road Bay which he admired from his balcony. I was wondering whether this was not in reality, a littering of the azure waters.

For me, his ashes in a family urn would have been more appropriate.
