In making the announcement, Superintendent Rudolph Proctor said Rogers was an experienced Police Officer with over 26 years of policing in the Royal Anguilla Police Force. He informed the media that Rogers went before a Promotion Board on Friday, February 27, along with seven other candidates and was subsequently promoted to the rank of Inspector.

Mr. Rogers will continue to work as a Detective Inspector in the CID. The post became vacant following the promotion of Inspector Alice Proctor who has now been promoted to the rank of Superintendent in charge of administration.
The newly-appointed Detective Inspector issued a statement in which he said he was elated over his appointment. “I would like to thank Almighty God for bringing me thus far to this time and date,” he stated. “I have always worked very hard and long through the ranks and always aspired to reach this goal.

“I am very proud of my achievement. I have always accepted new challenges and discharged my duties with professionalism and enthusiasm and will continue to do so. I knew that one day my record would have spoken for itself.

“To my fellow colleagues, I say it is an inspiration and impetus for you to set goals and work towards them and also to be objective and positive and you will get there.”
