The courses, from February 26 to March 6, at the Teachers’ Resource Centre, comprised the following: a one-day 8-hour course on what is called ‘The Critical Incident Stress Debrief ’(as a result of which a team will be formed to assist in the case of a traumatic event affecting persons within their working environment); another one-day 8-hour course in Crisis Communications (designed to

All three courses, facilitated by the Department of Disaster Preparedness have been funded by a grant from the Department for International Development.
The courses were part of continuing preparedness activities being made on the island by the Director of Disaster Preparedness, Elizabeth Klute, and her staff with the assistance of visiting facilitators, one of whom has been Phillip Queen from Fire Management Consulting in California. He was involved in this series of courses which were well attended.
