During the recent live telecast of religious singing by several church groups in Anguilla, beamed to church audiences at the Wescott Christian Centre in Los Angeles, California, one of the lead singers on the programme was Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch.

She performed with the St. Augustine’s Chorale of which she is a foundation member. The beautiful singer is one of the best soloists in Anguilla, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Priscilla Gumbs with whom she has appeared on stage in concerts and other events.

The live television programme, arranged by the Los Angeles religious owners of the Caribbean Beacon Radio at Sandy Hill, Anguilla, was part of an effort by the US organisation, headed by Pastor Melissa Scott, to attract visitors from her two churches to Anguilla.

An interesting linkage in this matter is that, until recently, Mrs. Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch was Director of Tourism in Anguilla for many years. As from the beginning of this month she took up an appointment of Marketing and Sales Director at the world-class Malliouhana Hotel and Spa.

The television programme, which networked with the two churches in Los Angeles, was beamed from the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre on Sunday, February 15.
