LIME Skips Valentine Day To Month Of Promotions

LIME, the new telecommunications company, which has replaced Cable & Wireless, will not have the customary Valentine’s Day promotions this year, but will be offering its big deals during the whole month of February instead - more time for everyone to benefit.

LIME’s Marketing Manager in Anguilla, Giesel Frances, explained that the change resulted from a number of factors including the slow down in the economy and the coming closure of the financial year at the end of March. She said the main aim of the promotion was for the company to give back to customers, and noted that various BlackBerry phones and special offers were big deals in Anguilla and the rest of the Caribbean. She said the company had achieved a number of firsts in introducing the phones in the region.

She reported that LIME would score another first when the company introduces the new BlackBerry Javelin model to the market in the middle of this month. It is an upgrade of the present BlackBerry Curve, now in stock, the difference being the new technology.
Before that happens, however, LIME is offering customers a deal on BlackBerry phones.

For example, customers are being offered 50% off the BB8220 from $1,475 to $737.50 and the BB Bold 900 from $1,965 to $982. 50. Customers signing up for new prepaid or postpaid service will get 30 days of free data. Black Berry Lite and BES not included.

Other special offers are as follows: Nokia 5310 postpaid $645 and prepaid $740; Nokia 6120 postpaid $650 and prepaid $745; Samsung F275 postpaid $590 and prepaid $680; and Samsung M140 postpaid $180 and prepaid $249.

The February 2-28 promotion includes an opportunity for persons who text LOVE to LIME (5463) to win an all-inclusive weekend for two at Holland House, Dutch St. Maarten.

LIME is also encouraging customers to spend more time on the phone. Any person who talks for seven cumulative minutes during the day will get a free call from 8 p.m. to midnight every night.
