Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre To Be Officially Named

The Department of Probation is pleased to announce the launching of a public sensitization campaign for the Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre. The Department is embarking on this campaign with the aim of informing and educating the public about the objectives and functions of the Centre. The programme will allow the Department and the Community to interact through various mediums, with the view that this will be an exciting and informative undertaking for us all.

The campaign is currently in the first phase of a three phase process which focuses on the naming of the Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre. Members of the Community are invited to cast their vote for the naming of the Centre at http://gov.ai/rehabilitationcentre/. In addition, on February 6th 2009, voting stations will be set up at NBA, Scotia Bank and the Post Office where the public will be able to cast their ballots and interact with the staff.

The naming of the Centre will be followed by a series of other initiatives that will provide opportunities for the Department to interact with the public, provide information as well as answer questions.

The Department of Probation would like to thank the corporate community who has assisted with this venture thus far. We look forward to your continued support.
