According to Mr. Harry Blackett, “The training is timely; it will prepare people for the opening of the Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre; the benefit will be in the short and long term as the trainees can use the skills they learn for the Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre purposes and in their own work; the training adds to the human resource development of the country and, although it is a basic course, there is now a core of people who can assist and who can access further training in this area.’
The main aim of the course is to enable participants to plan, implement and evaluate a training programme. Also, it is intended that by successful completion of the course a core of trainers will be in place to offer ongoing training at the Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre.
