The special appearance of our bordered front page denotes the silent observance of ten years since The Anguillian has been functioning as the island’s main weekly newspaper. The paper began publication on December 4, 1998. It was printed locally at Max Printing on the Stoney Ground Road for several years following which it was taken to the Daily Herald in St. Maarten for continued production.

The Publisher/Editor is grateful to both owners of the two printing establishments for facilitating the publishing of The Anguillian.

The long thank-you list, spanning our ten years of operation and service, includes all of our advertisers, readers/subscribers at home and abroad for their support, interest and encouragement; our various writers, other contributors and proof readers; those who sent us press releases, news stories and photographs, all helping in their own particular way to make the publication interesting and lively; the owners of the many supermarkets and other outlets and agencies handling our distribution and sales; our dedicated and hard-working staff, our legal advisers, other business-support persons and organisations, everybody else who regard themselves as our friends, supporters and well-wishers as well as our critics who have also assisted in the improvement of The Anguillian.

We also include in our thank-you list our various media colleagues with whom The Anguillian continues to work in a spirit of cooperation and goodwill in the dissemination of information.

We shall always keep before us your kindness and patronage which have gone a long way in guaranteeing our survival and progress. Thank you all very much again. We take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas Season and a New Year of prosperity, peace and abiding love.
