Saved From Drowning: Sam Gets Obama's Campaign Shirt


Faced by the gloomy prospect of a drowning death on March 14th this year when he was hurled overboard, while on a fishing trip east of Anguilla, Sam Webster of Island Harbour lamented that he would die without seeing “Obama become President of the United States”.

Thank Heavens Sam was miraculously saved from drowning. He has been able to follow with much interest the Obama campaign ever since, as the African-American Democrat Candidate appears to be on a course of winning the US Presidency.

On Wednesday this week, Sam was presented with an Obama Campaign shirt by Ellen Smith one Pennsylvania Women involved in that campaign and is now staying in Seafeathers, Anguilla for the winter season. She is accompaniedby her husband Bob.

He was presented with the shirt in recognition of his support for Senator Barack Obama and for his bravery at sea.

Mrs. Smith said she was touched by the story and had brought it to the attention of the campaign group in Pennsylvania.
