Congrats To Environmental Department

Dear Sir:
CONGRATS TO ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARMENT.

I wish, through this medium, to congratulate the Department of Environment in the Chief Minister’s Office for its conservation work which I have been following for sometime now through various outlets including your very informative newspaper, The Anguillian.

This has been extremely invaluable assistance to me in my interest in the environment in Anguilla, and I wish to encourage the people of the island in general to develop a love for the environment and the importance of conservation.

I am happy to read that a new series of articles have commenced in The Anguillian with the lead feature article being “Conservation Education & Awareness: Supporting Enhanced Capacity for Environmental Management in Anguilla’ (Volume 10 Issue 34).

The subject matter “Invasive Species: An Overview” was absorbing, though “a great threat to Anguilla’s biodiversity.” I wish to congratulate the writer for an excellent presentation and look forward to more articles.

Jean E. J. Richardson-Carty,
St. Thomas, USVI.
