He is Jerome A. Richardson, son of Pastor and Mrs. Cecil Richardson of the Central Baptist Church at Rey Hill, Anguilla.

Jerome, 25, who was assisted in his studies by the Anguilla Government, private funding and by scholarships in the United States, is a former student at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School. Shortly after graduating from that school, he worked with Weblinks Ltd where he had responsibility for computer repair, fiber optic networking and high-speed internet on the island. Thereafter he took up an appointment as Systems Technician in the Anguilla Public Service with responsibility for computer repair, network maintenance and installation, technical support and staff training.

His formal education in Electrical Engineering at the City College of New York included a number of relevant courses. Among them, he did studies in Remote Sensing and Earth Surveillance, Electric Circuits, Electronics, Electric Power Engineering, Electro-magnetics, Analog Communications, Control Systems, Digital Integrated Circuits, Engineering Economics and Ethics.

His objective has been to obtain a full-time position in Electrical Engineering where his strong technical, problem-solving and inter-personal skills can contribute directly to the success of an organisation.

Jerome is presently employed as a Project Engineer in the Electrical Department of AKF Consulting Engineering in New York. His duties include designing and building management systems involving designing lighting, fire alarm and power distribution plans for buildings in compliance with the National Electric Code.

During his student days he served as an Electrical Engineering Intern with Jaros Baum abs Bolles Consulting Engineers in New York and worked with the World Trade Center design team in the Electrical Department; later as a Research Student at the City College of New York and as an Electrical Engineering Intern at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Michigan.
Jerome, an outstanding scholarship winner from a number of US educational organisations, is the recipient of several honours from the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honour Society, HKN (Eta Kappa Nu) Honour Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society. In addition to other achievements, he was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 2006.

He plans to return to Anguilla eventually but in the meantime is gathering much working experience in the United States. On July 12 he was married to Tonya Kentish, daughter of Tobias and Florita Kentish, originally from Tanglewood, Anguilla.

Jerome’s sister, Jina, is studying Physical Therapy at the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, on a Government of Anguilla assisted scholarship along with private funding.
