Stephenie Brooks hands over a cheque to Jason Allen for the ATA summer programme
|
Recently, the ATA opened its doors to the public and is now operating at one hundred percent. Last year’s camp was highly successful due to the fact that many of the older top junior players assisted in the morning as coaches. It was a great way to teach the older players more about the game and in turn fortified them in their own understanding of the mechanics of tennis and the challenges the full time coaches face daily.

Many businesses have received letters asking for support and thus far the ATA has obtained commitments from Digicel, National Bank of Anguilla, Keene Enterprises and the Social Security Board at the Platinum level, and JW Proctors has once again agreed to sponsor at the Gold level. All tennis enthusiasts are encouraged to drop by the ATA’s facility between 8 am-8 pm and for more information about memberships, court fees, adult programmes and this year’s acclaimed Summer Programme. The ATA expects at least 200 participants so please sign up quickly. If children register before July 1, the fee is only USD $40. If registration is after, it will be USD $60. Camp participants will receive a t-shirt, all equipment necessary to play and many prizes.
For further information feel free to contact the ATA at 498-0697 or visit its website at www.anguillatennis.com
