Young Anguillian Musicians Win Gold, Silver and Bronze |

Three music students from Anguilla, who study piano under Mrs Irina Kaufman-Brookes, participated in an annual Le Diapason d’Or music competition held at The Grand Case Cultural Center, in French St. Martin on Sunday April 13, 2008. The three students ages 7-11 who competed in categories Debutant 2 and Preparatorie 1 were all the proud winners of trophies of Gold, Silver and Bronze in their respective categories.

Chadd Hodge of Crocus Hill, third time consecutive winner of this competition, competed in Category Piano solo Debutant 2, upheld his title by winning the first place and was awarded Gold.

Voss Harrigan of Island Harbour competed in Piano solo Preparatoire 1, won second place and was awarded Silver.
Ayesha Proctor of Sachasses competed in Piano solo Preparatoire 1, won third place and was awarded Bronze.
Mrs Kaufman-Brookes is a highly qualified piano tutor and prize winner of International Competitions in Andorra, on the European Continent. She is employed by the Government of Anguilla and also provides private tutelage for students of all ages.
