Governor Mark Warner And Family Visit The Anguilla Tennis Academy


The Rotary Club of Anguilla in association with the Interact Club of Anguilla, sponsored a one day seminar at the Teachers’ Resource Center on Tuesday March 18, 2008, 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m..

The theme of the seminar was: “GLOBAL HEALTH PRESCRIPTION FOR SURVIVAL- WHO’S RESPONSIBLE?”

This one day seminar is an outcome of discussions at the 31st World Affairs Seminar, held at the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater June, 2007.

High school students from around the world spend a week on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, studying and discussing global issues at the World Affairs Seminar. The purpose of this very unique youth activity is to provide a forum for future leaders to be introduced to some of the most perplexing world problems. This experience will contribute to future world peace.

The World Affairs Seminar is sponsored by the nonpartisan, nonprofit Wisconsin World Affairs Council, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 organization in association with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, founding member Rotary International District 6270, and service organizations across the world.
Two students from Anguilla Ms. Sherise Brooks and Ms. Shellya Rogers, Interactors, and students at the ALHCS were participants in this unique educational youth seminar at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Ms. Brooks and Ms. Rogers were facilitators for the one day seminar. Mr. Frederick Luedke, the coordinator of the World Affairs Seminar, was the key note speaker.
