Gillian Continues Training With Kor Hotel

On January 22nd, 2008 Mrs. Gillian Richardson-Bradshaw traveled to Tides South Beach as part of her continued training and development program with the Kor Hotel Group. During an interview with Mrs. Richardson-Bradshaw in August of 2007, she spoke of the extensive training program embarked upon by the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills and the Viceroy in Santa Monica, California.

Mrs. Richardson-Bradshaw said she was impressed with her colleagues at the Tides and how they were able to multi task and provide such prompt and efficient service all at the same time. The hotelier was very pleased with the level of sophistication and attention to detail that met every customer. “It is amazing”. Most of her time was spent attached to the Front Office and guest interacting. The Tides ratio of business and leisure travelers is 80 to 20 and efficiency and time management is number one and our colleagues know and respect that. Our customers are highly recognized therefore we have to be very attentive to their every need.

Standard Operating Procedures are basic requirements and as colleagues of the Kor Hotel Group we pride ourselves on delivering quality service from your welcome to your farewell. Therefore it is important for our Operations team to continue to invest in the local talent on Anguilla and our future development.

The Front of House Director went on to elaborate further on her four-week attachment with the Tides South Beach. I assisted in preparing Standard Operating Procedures for the Front of House, and supported the team with the day to day operations of the hotel. My brief stint at our sister property has reiterated what it takes to please customers in this ever changing industry and I am sure we all agree that today both the business and leisure traveler are paying much more for service and when you’re recognized as a 5-star property you cannot provide less in luxury or service. I therefore remain committed to my development and, with the help of the Kor Hotel Group, I am very optimistic about the future of the company and its continued venture to redefine the traditional concept of luxury hospitality, delivering optimum service on Anguilla and throughout the world.

In ending Gillian expressed her sincere appreciation to the Kor Hotel Group for the opportunity to develop herself further, her family for the empowerment and invaluable source of strength, to the Executive Team at Viceroy, Jan, Jeff, David, Alastair and Tania for their continued support and belief, and finally to the father above for his blessings.
