After relentless pressure on the Anguillian goal, Anguilla conceded an own goal as early as the 25th minute of the first half. With the Anguillians reduced to 10 men, after substitute Kapel was red carded by Referee Rouse for dangerous play in the first half, the Swiss continued to dominate the game and soon found a second goal from the booth of Thomas Voeglin early in the second half.
The victory followed the Swiss’ earlier victory over the boys on Wednesday 10th October at the same venue. Inspite of a spirited attempt by the youngsters, the experience and discipline of Swiss team was too much for them. The school boys had several clear-cut chances on the Swiss goal, but a combination of poor finishing and superb goalkeeping by the Swiss goalkeeper, denied them success as Switzerland finally prevailed by a score line of 3 goals to 0.
The Swiss only defeat of their Anguilla tour came on Sunday 7th October when they had to play second fiddle to the team of the Roaring Lions who won the beach soccer tournament which was contested by six teams, each consisting of four players.
The highlight of the Swiss tour was a cultural evening at the Stoney Ground Primary School on Friday 12th October, featuring performances from the All – Ah – Wee, the Energetic Superfly String Band, the U-17 Female National Football Squad, Lucien Fleming and members of the BSC Halbzeit selection of Berne. It was truly a night of talent, entertainment and culture. Special thanks to Tr. Marilyn who, at a very short notice, graciously gave the school auditorium as the venue for the spectacular event.
Other activities of the Swiss tour included a welcome reception hosted by the Deputy Governor, Mr Stanley Reid, a tour of Anguilla Rums, a visit to the residence of Mr. James Ronald Webster and a closing dinner at the Anguilla Great House on Sunday 14th October.

SENIOR MALE LEAGUE
On Saturday 20th October 2007 at 4:00 pm at the James Ronald Webster Park, the Roaring Lions FC will do battle against the ALHCS FC. Will Lions come out with fire in their eyes and quickness in their feet to retain the championship cup, or will ALHCS FC stop them in their track?
Well fans the only way for these questions to be answered is to be there at the RWP and see first hand. Remember it’s a family affair so be there.
