The nine contestants of the CCB Talented Teen show recently took part in an Interview Session hosted by Ms. Lisa Rey, Sales & Marketing Officer at Radio Anguilla. The session served to educate contestants on the techniques that can be used to answer questions being broadcasted live on radio.

Ms. Rey’s approach for the session was to mimic a live broadcast, giving the contestants questions based on their biographies, career choices, hobbies, what they had learned thus far, and general questions relating to their reasons for entering the CCB Talented Teen show. Ms. Rey also gave the contestants tips on how to use the microphone, avoid rambling and the use of fillers such as: “uhm” and “ahm”, the importance of using good grammar, and how to answer difficult questions.
The contestants found the exercise challenging but helpful in ensuring that their presentation to the public remains optimal.
