During the ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of Altamer Resort, the developers, Rebecca and Michael Eggleton, presented a cheque for US$605,000 to Chief Minister, Osbourne Fleming, for use in the Government’s social development programme.

The Chief Minister told The Anguillian afterwards that the money will be used to purchase eleven acres of land from Albert Lake to be used for sports development. The land is located in the area where the Teacher Gloria Omolulu Institute is to be built.
