10/10 Cricket Continues At East End


Ten-10 Cricket continued on Sunday with four tournament games and one fun game at the East End Playing field.


To begin the afternoon’s games, a large group of Indians turned up at the playing field for an impromptu fun game which they played against a mixed group of Windball cricketers.

In official games, the females played first, with Razor Massive once again defeating the Mix Up Girls. Mix Up batted first scoring 40 with Glenda “Va” Richardson scoring 10. Astra Rogers took 2 wickets for the Razors and then scored 21 with the bat.

The next game saw home team the East Eagles go down to Bernuth Lines. Lanville Harrigan scored 21 of the Bernuth Lines’ 96 runs at their turn to bat. Skank took 2 wickets and executed a run out for the Eagles. At their bat, they fell short, scoring 74. Leon Lake scored 22 for the Eagles and Mitchell took 3 wickets for Bernuth.

In their Ten10 encounter, the Blue Jays beat the St. Lucian team. Blue Jays batted first and made 67, with Alex Adams scoring 30. Felix took 2 wickets for the Lushies. In response, the St. Lucians scored 39. Felix contributed 10 runs while John Jeffers and Daniel Proctor each took 2 wickets for the Blue Jays.

In the final game of the night, Razor Massive’s men defeated the Deadly Force. Kalli Rogers scored 39 for the Razors, winning himself a dinner for 2 at Picante’ Restaurant for scoring the most runs for the day. St. Claire “Spirit” Weeks took 2 wickets for Deadly Force. In reply to 106 by the Razors, Deadly Force scored 85. Carlo Gumbs scored 33 for Deadly Force while Mikey Fabian and Enoch Hughes took two wickets each for the Razors. Games continue this Sunday, beginning at 2pm.
