The winners were presented with their cheques by Roger Simpson, Manager of British American Insurance, agent for Western Union, on Tuesday this week. The presentations followed the drawing of the names at Heart Beat Radio on January 13.
Western Union Office Supervisor, Adelle Hennis, said that in deciding to show appreciation to its valued customers, the money transfer company held a Christmas promotion and sweepstake. During the period December 1-31 customers completed a form to enter the draw each time they sent or received money.
In celebrating its anniversary, Western Union offered 10% discount on all outbound transactions with the company’s card; free gifts when sending or receiving money; and EC$5,000 in prizes which allowed customers to enter the Christmas Sweepstakes. They were given up to ten chances to win the money with or without the Western Union Card.
