Dear Newspaper Editor:

WANT A FRIEND
IN ANGUILLA

I am wishing to have in your part of the world a friend I can trust and hold dear to exchange words and good relations with.

I am 12 years old and live in the care of foster parents who are so very kind to me but in addition it would make my day to have friends around the world and in your island. I was born in America and live in India.

It will soon be Christmas and my parents are taking me and one of my friends to Alaska. They say it is very cold there and there are a lot of bears and other interesting things to see. The sea there also turns into ice at times and there are whales and sea lions and other creatures.

I am very excited and when I come back home I will like to share all this with the friends I have written to in a lot of countries, so please see if you can get some friends to write me.
