WELCOME TO OUR VISITORS May You Enjoy Anguilla

It is now the second week since the start of the 2005/2006 tourist season and the reopening of Anguilla’s classy hotels, famed restaurants, other accommodation facilities and guest services which continue to attract, delight and pamper our visitors season after season.

These upscale properties and services are complemented by locally-owned and varied tourism enterprises, adding to the continued success of the industry and the promotion of the Anguilla experience now branded Feeling is Believing.

The two-month break, following the end of the 2004-2005 tourist season, has given a number of properties an opportunity to undertake some refurbishing work, re-focus their marketing and service strategies and ensure that their guests are given the best possible care to make their stay a memorable one.

Although it is just the beginning of the season, a number of hotels, guest houses and villas are reporting high occupancy levels with projections for full bookings later on. The extensively-marketed Tranquility Jazz Festival, which began this week, is one of the early attractions to the island.

Anguilla, renowned for its friendly people, hospitality, beauty, relaxation, exquisite beaches, up-scale and world-class accommodation facilities and fine dining restaurants, is constantly being touted in the travel trade press as one of the best and most attractive destinations in the Caribbean. Some call it paradise. This is no exaggeration to our discerning visitors who come to our shores repeatedly and spread this message far and near themselves.

It is greatly to the benefit of Anguilla that many of its own people occupy various positions at every level of the industry. This brings our nationals into contact with our guests and to share with them the good old Anguillian hospitality and friendship which makes them feel most welcome and comfortable among us.

The Anguillian takes this opportunity, on behalf of all the people of Anguilla, to welcome our visitors from everywhere and to wish them a most enjoyable and memorable stay in our lovely and friendly island home.
