96 Students Graduate From ALHCS


In an impressive ceremony, 96 students graduated from the Fifth Form of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School on Wednesday evening, October 12.

The graduation ceremony was held at the school’s Pope Hill Campus in the presence of a large number of Government officials, parents, guardians and other members of the public.
It commenced with a procession of the graduating class to the delightful strains of the school’s Concert Band. The ceremony, chaired by Karim Hodge, included the following: the invocation by Father Ed Herberger of St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church; congratulatory remarks by Minister of Social Development, the Hon. Evans Rogers; the keynote address by the Hon. Keesha Webster, Second Nominated Member in the House of Assembly; the distribution of certificates and awards by Principal Darwin Hazel assisted by Kalleesha Webster, a teacher at the school, and congratulatory remarks by Deputy Principal, Ingrid Lake.

The Valedictory Speech was delivered by Keivelle Lake.

Best CXC results were achieved by Nashara Webster of Island Harbour. The Most Outstanding Graduate was Jaynelle Lake; and the Calder Simon Award was won by Keithroy Proctor.

Special awards were made during the ceremony by the National Bank of Anguilla, the law firm Webster, Dyrud & Mitchell and First Anguilla Trust Company.
