ECCB Holds Financial Fair

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank has ended its observance of Financial Literacy Month in October.

The concluding event in Anguilla was a financial fair in which the island’s commercial banks and insurance companies were the main participants at the Gazebo on the grounds of the Scouts and Guides Ruthwill Auditorium on October 28. It provided an opportunity for them to display information and to answer questions regarding their operations.

Speakers at the fair were Resident Representative of the ECCB, Marilyn Bartlette, and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Development, Marcel Fahie.

The fair, the first of its kind here, was organised to create a greater awareness among members of the public of the financial system and to educate them in making better decisions in handling their personal finances.
