Everyone traveling is required to carry a passport, some countries require a visa.

What about cash and credit on Anguilla?
The official currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar.
US$1.00 = EC$2.68
However the US dollar is accepted all over the island and in St. Martin/Maarten.
Other currencies must be converted at a bank into ether USD or ECD at often less than favorable rates.
Credit cards are also widely accepted and the island now have many ATM machines. All banks are located in The Valley but there are ATM machines scattered throughout the island.

Anguilla has a very good reliable ferry system that runs every day of the year, all day long.

Do we need to rent a car?
You will find getting around Anguilla much easier with a rental vehicle. Shops, restaurants and more importantly beaches are scattered all over the island. Since Anguilla is a small island and the people are helpful and friendly, Anguilla is a great place to explore.

Can we pick up our rental vehicle at the airport or ferry port?
We recommend that you take a taxi to your private rental villa and have the vehicle awaiting your arrival.
Most of the vehicle rental companies on the island know the location of the villas and offer a drop-off service. The vehicle rental companies have no problem with you dropping off your vehicle at the airport or ferry when departing Anguilla.
Do I have to pay duty on the items I purchase in St. Martin?
Visitors do not have to pay duty on items purchased in St. Martin/Maarten. However if you purchase an electronic device you will have to leave it with customs until your departure when they will return it to you. If you wish to use the item on Anguilla you will have to pay duty. Make sure to keep your receipts and show them to the customs officer if they ask.
What is the weather like on Anguilla?
Anguilla is warm all year long. The average temperature is 80F or 27C. Rainfall varies depending on the time of year. We get about 35 inches per year and most days are sunny. When it does rain it usually rains very hard for about 10 minutes and not all over the island. You will often drive out of a rainstorm into sunny skies. Hurricane season starts the first of June and runs through Oct. Our most active months are Sept. and Oct.
What language is spoken in Anguilla?
English and some folks speak Spanish.
