Rotary Club "Eye Team" To Return

A group of highly skilled eye surgeons sponsored by the Anguilla Rotary Club, and in cooperation with the Anguilla Health Department, will be returning to Anguilla on Thursday March 6th.

Anyone suspect of requiring medical or surgical eye attention and who would like to be evaluated by the “Eye Team” please observe the following protocol:

Dr. Louis Bardfield, past president of the Rotary Club of Anguilla, will be screening patients for potential cataract, glaucoma, and other related conditions requiring ocular surgery. Screening will be conducted at the Vision Centre on Wednesday March 5th (by appointment).

Those patients who may be in need of surgical procedures will be screened again by Dr. Gould and the “Eye Team” on Thursday March 6th.

Those patients requiring surgery will be scheduled at Princess Alexandra Hospital for Friday March 7th. The Eye Team will be checking all those patients that have had surgical procedures on Saturday March 8th and the following Monday March 10th. Dr. Bardfield will follow through on all post-op patients after Dr. Gould’s departure.

The above services are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Anguilla and the services of Dr. Bardfield and the rest of the “Eye Team” will be performed free of cost to the people of Anguilla. (Incidental outside charges may be incurred for hospital costs or other implementations.)

The Eye Team has been returning to Anguilla on a regular basis and has made a firm commitment on behalf of the Rotary Club of Anguilla and the Anguilla Health Department to be available to the people of Anguilla on an “as needed” basis.

Patients requiring further information should contact Dr. Franklyn Lloyd at Princess Alexandra Hospital or Dr. Louis Bardfield at The Anguilla Vision Centre 497-3700.
