Paradise Cove Is Simply The Best
|
Guests Jim and Patty say Paradise Cove is simply the best – and that is why we keep coming back!
Every Thursday there is a “Managers Cocktail Party” at Paradise Cove where Owners/Managers of the Resort, Sherille and Frankie Hughes, meet and mingle with their guests at their attractive poolside bar.

Last week there was an extra special Managers Cocktail Party when the Hughes honored two very important guests - James and Patricia Lignugaris (or Jim and Patty as they are known) from New Jersey – who were staying at Paradise Cove for the 12th time. Guests from Anguilla’s Tourism Industry were invited to meet the ‘guests of honor’ and to express their thanks to Jim and Patty for continuing to choose Anguilla (and Paradise Cove), year after year, since their first visit in 1997.
The invited guests included: Minster of Finance, Economic Development, Commerce, Investment and Tourism – Hon Victor F Banks; Hon Donna Banks, Special Advisor Tourism; Mr John Benjamin, Chairman of the Tourist Board; Ms Merlyn Rogers, Acting Director of Tourism; Members of the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association Board of Directors and Secretariat; other Paradise Cove guests and of course staff, friends and family of Paradise Cove.
Guests enjoyed canapés and drinks around the bar and the highlight of the evening was when Hon Donna Banks addressed the gathering and publically thanked the Lignuaris’s for choosing Anguilla. She talked about how glad we all were that they felt so comfortable in Anguilla that they kept coming back. She also mentioned how successful Paradise Cove – a 100% Anguillian owned property - was and pointed out the contribution of the Hughes to tourism in Anguilla. She commended both Frankie & Sherille and their parents for having the vision to establish the Resort. In conclusion, she talked about how Paradise Cove was a founder member of the “Charming Escapes Collection” and one that, as a nation, we should all be proud of and see as a model property.
Owner/Manager Sherille Hughes of Paradise Cove, then made a warm and personal speech about “her friends” Jim and Patty, explaining how much a part of the establishment they had become – pointing out their expertise in shopping and exploring Anguilla and thanking them for choosing to come back to their home at Paradise Cove year after year. She then presented Jim and Patty with a beautiful commemorative plaque and a complementary 5 night-stay at Paradise Cove – ensuring they come back again!
Jim said a few words of thanks on his and his wife's behalf. He said they were genuinely touched to have been thanked and to have met so many new Anguillian friends; and that they loved staying at Paradise Cove because of the friendships and comfort they experienced when they visited.
Finally, Frankie Hughes thanked guests for coming to honor Jim and Patty and talked a little about the challenges of being an Anguillian Hotel ‘not on the beach’, and how they had overcome those challenges to create a Resort that guests loved to return to time after time.
