Anguillian Student Graduates


Another one of Anguilla’s promising, multitalented and exemplary individuals successfully completed her tertiary education and have left her mark in the Virgin Islands.

In May 2008, Ms. Sandra Liddie of East End, among five other Anguillians, graduated from the University of the Virgin Islands.
Ms. Liddie graduated in the top 2% of her class having attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a special emphasis in Computer Information Systems. Sandra graduated with a 3.88 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 Grading Scale; this GPA solidified a Summa Cum Laude Honor.
During the course of her studies, Ms. Liddie took avantage of every opportunity to advance herself both academically and socially. For this reason, she actively participated in numerous organizations and clubs such as the Phi Beta Lambda, UVI’s Accounting Association and the Golden Key International Honors Society. Moreover, she was hired as a Resident Assistant and a Peer Instructor/ Teachers Assistant by the University.
Complementing her academic excellence, Sandra showcased her talent of singing to the Virgin Islands public particularly for singing the US National Anthem and the Virgin Islands National March at various formal ceremonies.
“It was not easy but it is worth it” says Ms. Liddie as she expresses her gratitude to her parents, grandparents and family, Jasent Hughes, The Management and Staff of D-3 Enterprises, Anguilla Development Board, the Government of Anguilla, Members and the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church and all others for their words of encouragement and support.
