Boats Collision Seriously Injures Three Persons

Police in Anguilla are investigating an incident in which two boats collided off Road Bay on Sunday evening, December 2, seriously injuring three persons, who are still at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and badly damaging the bow of one of the vessels.

According to the police, the Whosee pleasure boat, captained by Douglas Carty, was returning to Road Bay from Sandy Island when it collided with Pure Pleasure, a small fishing boat captained by Junior Thomas and owned by Tyrone Richardson.
One of the boats allegedly had no running lights according to the police report.
Injuries were sustained by four of the five persons aboard Pure Pleasure. Those seriously hurt were the captain and two girls 11 and 13 years old.
