Links Cycling Club Develops Youth Cycling Group

The Links Cycling Club of Anguilla (LCCA) is presently embarking on a passionate drive to recruit young boys and girls that are willing to engage in the beloved sport of cycling. According to Mr. George Lake, president of the club, there are presently ten enthusiastic youngsters who are enamored with the sport and are prepared to work hard to achieve good results.

Presently the group is undergoing serious training by Mr. Timothy Richardson a senior cyclist in the LCCA. The coach is deeply passionate about this young group and foresees a great future for Anguilla’s cycling. The aim of the LCCA is to ensure the youngsters acquire the necessary skills to excel in the sport of cycling. This is in keeping with the general aim and goals of the LCCA.

The Link Cycling Club of Anguilla (LCCA) is dedicated to providing bicycle activities to promote individual health and recreation, education and advocacy to promote a more bicycle friendly environment and a more livable community for members, bicyclists and the community at-large.
Goals
To get more people riding more often more safely.
To increase the voice and visibility of the LCCA and the cycling community to improve facilities and the environment for cyclists.
To promote the fun of spirited cycling with a group of friendly people.
To provide education of essential bicycling skills including road safety, maintenance and on-the-road repairs.
To schedule tours and group riding opportunities for local and visiting cyclists.
To publish regularly a newsletter of comprehensive information concerning cyclists.
To encourage bicycling as an energy efficient and healthful means of transportation.

The link cycling club of Anguilla wants you to become a part of the team, you can join the executive as a builder, and as a participant. We need your knowledge to strengthen and encourage. We want to encourage good healthy competition through cycling.
No matter your age culture or ethnicity we welcome you on board. Our plan is to arrange training sessions regularly and host a day of cycling extravaganza periodically. Let us make good use of our chopper, mountain and road racing bikes.
Let us use our bikes to enhance our health and competition. We welcome people from the ages of thirteen (13) to sixty (60) years old.
