The National Bank of Anguilla will again be hosting its Peter Perkins Memorial Boat Race and Fun Day Village Games.

An NBA release states that this year’s events will be held at Road, Sandy Ground, on Sunday, July 16. The Fun Day activities will commence at 12 noon and the Peter Perkins Boat Race at 2.30.
Like last year, there will be seven teams participating with each team representing one of NBA’s products and/or services and like last year, there will be seven teams participating and representing over 16 villages. Some of the events will include volleyball, tug-o-war, egg & spoon race, water bucket race and sack and cycle racing.
Last year’s winners were the Blowing Point team, with Stoney Ground in second place and the team comprising the Farrington, George Hill, Rey Hill and environs in third place. In the first Annual Peter Perkins Memorial Boat Race, De Tree emerged winner with Super Star in second place.
The NBA release states that this year’s village games promise to be more exciting as the Blowing Point team is prepared to take home the trophy again.
