A statement received by The Anguillian from Chief Executive Officer, Chris Ogilvie Taylor, expressed the hope that business in Anguilla would be well represented among the Caribbean-wide exhibition and conference delegates.
The statement follows:

A leading group of five British experts in Marketing, Motivation and Management are among the expert team of speakers at this year’s Caribbean Business-to-Business Exhibition and Conference being held at The Sherbourne Centre, 2-4 November, in Barbados.

The event is being produced by Marsden Grant International from London and co-ordinated by Premier Event Services in Barbados. The principal sponsor is Cingular Wireless.

Targeting executives and owner-managers, it will feature over 60 exhibitors and a rich seminar, conference and workshop programme over three full days for 400 delegates.

The conference’s theme is Marketing, Motivation and Management; three key subjects for every business executive, whether self-employed or employed within a company, covering everything in three days that business executives need to know to run and develop a successful business. The speakers are all lecturers in their specialist subjects travelling around the UK and Europe speaking in major conferences. The exhibition will be closed to the general public, admitting only visitors representing businesses.

“This is a hard working event for delegates and we intend to deliver a substantial amount of proven and practical experience and information from the UK over the three days. We want delegates to feel that they have been through a mini-school of management, albeit at far less cost. Indeed, to acknowledge each delegate’s three days participation in the conference, personal Certificates of Merit of Attendance will be issued by Marsden Grant International” said Chris Ogilvie-Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Marsden Grant International, London.

The 60 booths business-to-business exhibition will provide an opportunity for Anguillan businesses to showcase their products and services to delegates and visitors from Barbados and across the Caribbean.

Ogilvie-Taylor added, “The forthcoming Caribbean Single Market will bring undoubted benefits and opportunities to Anguillan businesses but there are also dangers and downsides associated with expansion, such as over-trading. We aim to equip business executives with the tools to overcome these potential obstacles and to develop their businesses successfully with the lowest possible risk”.

This important event will be officially opened by The Rt. Hon. Owen Arthur MP, Prime Minister of Barbados, who will also give a keynote address to delegates.

Charges for exhibitors and delegates are being kept low to attract business people from all types and sizes of businesses.

Those interested in either exhibiting or attending the conference can visit the event’s website – www.tacbec.com or contact Premier Event Services in Barbados on (246) 435 0670.
