Seven Days on Anguilla began as a series of prints created by Jo-Anne Mason and the compiled into a small book with interesting info and facts about the island. It is the first book by Jo-Anne.

Please join Jo-Anne Mason at Savannah Gallery in historic lower Valley on Saturday, February 23, 2008 for the opening reception of her latest collection Anguilla Botanicals.
Stop by from three PM till five PM to view the new art, visit with the artist and enjoy refreshments.
The show is being held late in the afternoon of the opening day of the annual Flower and Garden Show being held on the grounds of Wallblake House in The Valley.

Born August 17, 1953 in Brooklyn N.Y.After leaving school, Jo-Anne pursued a career as a horsewoman and spent 20 years riding, training and caring for thoroughbred racehorses. She began sculpting horses and animals in 1985 and had several successful shows and commissions before leaving the U.S. to live in Anguilla in the British West Indies.

Images by Jo-Anne Mason created using the digital art program Painter(TM) several versions. Painter(TM) now a product of procreate(TM) is a serious art program designed by and for artists. The tools in Painter allow the artist to create images with a natural, conventional look. Using a digital art pad, in this case a Wacom brand Intous(TM) Graphics Tablet and stylist pen the artist is able to draw and paint in a natural style.

Jo-Anne creates many images using the powerful vector program Adobe Illustrator(TM). This program allows the artist to use vector points to shape objects that can be resized without lose in quality. Most of the illustrations in this website were created using this program.

I like to create image hoses for the natural elements in my illustrations. Rather than using a scanned photo or item to produce an image hose I create the nozzle beginning with simple shapes. In this image hose the shapes created produce grass that works well in a meadow setting.
